Dave Anderson, Senior Minister
Dave assumed the postion of Pastor at First Baptist on Oct. 1, 2009. He has served three other congregations in the State of Virginia, with the most recent 17 year tenure at Linden Heights Baptist in Staunton. His associational and state service is varied and he currently serves on the Religious Liberties Committee.
He holds a B.A. in Psychology from Carson Newman College and a Master of Divinity(with languages) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Dave is married to Carol and they have four children.
Susan Davis, Minister of Music & Senior Adults
Susan joined the First Baptist staff as Minister of Music in 1996. In 1999, her duties expanded to include work with the senior adults. (We know them as keenagers.) She directs the Chancel Choir, Adult Ensemble, Youth and Adult Handbell Choirs, Youth Choir and Children's Choir. She also coordinates activities, trips and Bible studies with the Senior Adults.
She is a graduate of Meredith College where she received a Bachelor of Music and Southeastern Seminary where she received a Master of Divinity.
Susan is married to Bob (church organist) and they have two daughters.

Alice Satterfield, Administrative Secretary
Alice joined the First Baptist team in 1959 as secretary. In 1982, she became Administrative Secretary as she took on additional duties after the retirement of long-time Director of Church Activities, Jewel Moore. Alice serves as receptionist, works closely with committees, and is responsible for compiling and editing the weekly church bulletin.
Alice is a native of Halifax County. She is an active member of Black Walnut Baptist Church at Cluster Springs, where she served as church pianist/organist for over 50 years.

Nancy Stillman, Financial Secretary
Nancy joined the First Baptist Church staff in 1998. After taking a short break the summer of 2005, she rejoined us in April 07.
Before serving at First Baptist, she worked at Longwood University in Farmville most of her working career. Having worked in accounting there, she brings that experience to us as she handles all finances for the church.
Nancy and her husband enjoy their two grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, decorating, gardening.

Bob Davis, Organist
Bob has served as the organist at First Baptist since 1996. He is a graduate of NCSU with a BS in Textiles. After years in the textile industry, he has recently had a career change and is now the music teacher at Bethel Hill Charter School in Roxboro, NC. He currently is working on a Master of Arts in Education. Bob is married to Susan (Minister of Music) and they have two daughters.
