Missions  Missions is an integral part of First Baptist Church.    The Missions Committee sponsors mission projects such as helping with the Dan River Baptist Association Snack Closet Drive and School supplies Drive,  the HopeTree Walk-a-Thon, Angel Tree Meals to the needy, foreign missionaries in South Africa, the Tri-River Habitat for Humanity, Operation Christmas Child, nursing home ministry and weekly devotions in the bulletin and repair work to local homes.   Several members of First Baptist have been on mission trips to Romania and North Carolina.    First Baptist also gives to the Alma Hunt Offering and the CBF Global Missions Offering.   First Baptist Youth participate in missions projects such as Watering Malawi, Souper Bowl of Caring and donating supplies to the victims of the hurricane in Haiti.  Youth and Children also attend mission camps (Passport and Passportkids) each summer.
