Below are several ways that you can help the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.
You can make monetary contributions through the Virginia Baptist Mission Board. 100% of your contributions will go towards meeting basic human needs of medicine, food, water and shelter. You can donate through them online by visiting http://www.vbmb.org or writing a check and mailing it directly to the Virginia Baptist Mission Board (put Haiti earthquake in the memo line) and mailing directly to the Virginia Baptist Resource Center (address is on the website). Or, if you prefer, you may bring your checks by the church and we will mail the check for you.
Locally, there is a tractor trailer parked in the former Hills Tavern parking lot where other contributions may be taken. The trailer will be there until it is filled up. Items needed are bottled water, diapers, baby food, toilet paper, paper towels, first aid items, feminine hygiene products, and easy-to-open canned foods. You may take these items directly to the tractor trailer or bring them by the church, place them in the collection box in the hallway and we will take them for you.
Above all, please continue to remember the people of Haiti in your prayers each day.
